This may look like your standard left foot, and even without the hot pink Nike Free it looks totally normal. But it doesn't feel normal.
Last Sunday I was out practicing softball with my husband and his dad - you know, the ultimate father's day activity. It was going really well until one of the grounders took a bad hop, I had my glove in the totally wrong place and the ball hit the inside of my left foot hard. It immediately hurt, but I played on. When we got home I mowed the lawn. Then when I stopped moving, the pain got a lot worse. Monday, I went to the doctor and got an X-ray (the "I have insurance and I might as well use it" mindset at its best). Of course, nothing was broken but my doctor said to take it easy.
So, I've been taking it easy all week. I stopped limping by Tuesday but decided to keep resting the foot. It's a good thing I did. As soon as I started running this morning the pain came back. I thought about turning around...frequently. But I also owed you a picture of the bridge for this week.As I write this post, I am icing and elevating that silly left foot.

Is that a deer or a dog?
ReplyDeleteIt's a dog, a viszla (sp?)...basically a brown dog with the personality of a Dalmatian. I'll get a deer eventually.
